On the stage of the regional house of art workers, a performance of the regional drama theater was shown. It is called “My mother is the secretary of the angel of death” and is based on a play by an Israeli writer. This is a story about children whose parents were horribly tortured in concentration camps. The author herself, together with the deputy ambassador of Israel, came to Vladimir to show the performance.
This is a solo performance by Anna Luzgina. Her heroine is a forty-five-year-old woman. Tami is an unwanted child. Her parents were prisoners of Auschwitz. The father disposed of the corpses. And the mother was the secretary of Josef Mengele, who conducted terrible experiments on prisoners. The play is based on a true story. The Israeli writer Yakov Buchan told her playwright. His mother was the secretary of the Angel of Death. The author missed the tragedy of this family through herself.
“You can’t write a play, take it like this – oh, take it, I’ll take it and write it now. Nothing will work, she will be dead. This must be a topic that should be very, very exciting, the same thing in acting – those actors who excite us – they let everything go through themselves, Of course, I let it all go through myself, and it’s crazy, immensely worried,” says Hadar Galron, a playwright.
People in the concentration camp died every day in terrible agony. In order not to go crazy, the parents of the main character, Tami, became insensitive. And even having survived, they forbid their daughter to love. But this is impossible.
He moved cautiously from picture to picture, and I quietly watched him. Handsome man, black, shiny hair, neatly combed to one side, a gap between two front teeth aaah burning look
Tami was taught from childhood – you can’t be happy. She must remember the horrors her father and mother went through. Instead of life, her parents offer her eternal mourning for the victims of Auschwitz. But Tami wholeheartedly reaches for simple female happiness. Moscow director Vyacheslav Tereshchenko is sure that the theme of choice is the main dramatic line in this performance.
“It really hooked us inside, it worried us, this material is of choice. Here is dear, to serve the earth, to serve those people whom we love, who are gone, to preserve their memory or to reject everything and recklessly rush into happiness, into this happy chance, which fate does not often provide, – said Vyacheslav Tereshchenko, director of the play, associate professor of the Theater Institute named after Boris Shchukin.
Actress Anna Luzgina conveys the images of her parents using the timbre of her voice, facial expressions and special props. A new reading of the play caused a lot of emotions in Ronen Kraus. The father and grandmother of the Deputy Ambassador of Israel were also prisoners of concentration camps.
“I can personally testify to how the memories of war and suffering that were told in my family influenced my life and my decisions. And there are many like me, – says Ronen Kraus, Minister Plenipotentiary of Israel, Deputy Ambassador of Israel.
This is not a premiere. His audience saw a few months ago. But this show is very important. It is timed to coincide with the International Day of the Victims of the Holocaust. As a result of the genocide, not only prisoners of concentration camps suffered. The victims were the second generation. Their children. You need to know and remember this, the author of the play emphasizes.
